Out of an abundance of caution to help limit the spread of coronavirus and support the state's efforts to promote social distancing, William F. Laman Public Library in North Little Rock is closed.


All programming and events planned for either branch are cancelled.  We will do our best to keep everyone up to date on the library's services and resources.

Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) – Provides 2019-nCoV information for health professionals, laboratories and business.  This site includes news and maps of outbreaks. 

CDC also offers guidance on preventing the spread of COVID-19 in homes and residential communities.

World Health Organization (WHO) COVID-19 Outbreak

MedlinePlus provides information on COVID-19 including: symptoms, risk, treatments/therapy, and steps for prevention.

Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) COVID-19 Resource Page

This site provides Arkansas-specific information concerning persons being tested and monitored. ADH has also activated a call center to answer questions from clinical staff and the public.

Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases by Johns Hopkins CSSE 

An interactive web-based dashboard hosted by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University, to visualize and track reported cases of 2019-nCoV in real-time. The dashboard reports cases at the province level in China, city level in the US, Australia and Canada, and at the country level otherwise.

The New York Times COVID-19 website

This site provides the latest news on the Wuhan coronavirus and its spread in China and around the world. It includes medical and scientific information about surgical masks, treatments, vaccines, quarantines as well as maps and news on the global implications. 

How scientists are fighting the novel coronavirus: A three-minute guide

In this video, Nature looks at three fields of research which are vital to keeping this outbreak under control: epidemiology, virology and biomedical science.
